Terms & Conditions

These terms govern the relationship between Nikola Nikolov, working as an independent contractor / sole practitioner ("the Contractor", "I"), and users ("the Client") of the services offered through instasmart.eu.

I. Scope of services

The Contractor provides remote software services for Home Assistant-based smart homes, including:

  1. Consultation and planning of the software setup.
  2. Home Assistant configuration and connection of the Client's existing devices.
  3. Design and implementation of automations.
  4. Design and build of dashboards / control interfaces.
  5. Ongoing support, troubleshooting and upgrades.

The Contractor does not sell hardware and does not perform physical installation or any electrical work. All services are delivered remotely. Hardware is purchased by and remains the responsibility of the Client.

II. Quotes, pricing and payment

  1. Pricing is determined by the scope and complexity of the work.
  2. The Contractor provides an individual proposal, valid for 14 days.
  3. Payment terms are agreed in writing before work begins.

III. Client responsibilities

  1. The Client grants secure remote access for the agreed sessions and may revoke it at any time.
  2. The Client maintains a stable internet connection and functioning hardware required for the system.
  3. The Client provides accurate information about their existing devices and network.

IV. Liability and limitations

  1. Software: The Contractor warrants the correct operation of the automations and configuration delivered, as at the time of handover.
  2. Devices: The Contractor is not the manufacturer and is not liable for hardware defects; the relevant manufacturer's / seller's warranty applies.
  3. The Contractor is not liable for disruptions caused by: loss of internet or power; changes the Client makes to the network or router; factory resets of devices by the Client; or outages in third-party manufacturer cloud services.

V. Other

The Contractor reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. Matters not covered here are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria.
